Georgians for Lawsuit Reform endorse Justice Charlie Bethel and Justice Sarah Warren for Supreme Court
ATLANTA – April 28th, 2020
Today, Georgians for Lawsuit Reform (“GLR”) proudly endorses Justice Charlie Bethel and Justice Sarah Warren for the Georgia Supreme Court. Justice Bethel and Justice Warren have been serving on the State’s highest court since September 2018 after their respective appointments by Governor Nathan Deal.
Prior to joining the Supreme Court Justice Bethel served as an Alderman in his hometown of Dalton, Georgia, then went on to serve four terms as a State Senator before being appointed to the Georgia Court of Appeals. Justice Bethel was subsequently appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court in September 2018 by Governor Nathan Deal. Justice Warren formerly served in the White House, clerked on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for the US District Court for the District of Columbia, and was a partner at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis. Justice Warren was appointed as the Solicitor General of Georgia by Attorney General Chris Carr before being appointed to the the Georgia Supreme Court in September 2018.
Throughout their tenures on the Georgia Supreme Court, both Justice Bethel and Justice Warren have demonstrated their commitment to honoring and upholding the rule of law in Georgia’s civil justice system. Both justices have a healthy record of applying the law equally, consistently, and fairly which make them ideal candidates to remain on Georgia’s highest court.
